As a CNM, I chose homebirth because of a firm belief in the normal, natural process of birth. I believe that a woman labors best in the safety of her own home, surrounded by those who care for her most.

My role as a midwife is to facilitate the birthing process in order to foster the development of healthy families. A midwife listens to the woman, and attempts to provide her client with an experience that contributes to the woman's own development, thus hopefully also impacting on that particular family, and in a broader sense, society as a whole.
